After I did all those, something came up with my family. The passing of my auntie was devastating for my family and I. Staying at the hospital for weeks, taking turns sleeping just to be there with her until her kids came. I wasn't able to continue with my challenge due to family matter. On October 11,2018 is the day she passed, my family and I flew back to Rota to so we can lay her to rest, because Rota is the place she has lived in for almost all her life. I stayed in Rota for a while because after laying my auntie to rest, my classmate passed from cancer. It was hard dealing with everything that's been going on.
I came back from Rota to find out there will be a typhoon coming, classes were cancelled. I told myself that I would go back and pay attention to my challenge but YUTU had to ruin it again. I helped my family prepare for the typhoon that was on its way, went shopping, putting gas at all the cars we had, and just making that my family and I were prepared for a storm that people say it is the strongest. All I can ever think about how 2018 will be ending for me, the passing of my auntie then the typhoon that hit so many places and caused us to not have classes for months.
On October 25th 2018, Typhoon Yutu hit the island of Saipan, it was my very first time to experience something like this. During the typhoon winds were so strong, I hear glasses breaking, tins flying around, and the doors trying to slam in by the wind. I was scared most of time but all I can do is pray. After the storm hit the island of Saipan and Tinian, I knew everyone was in such devastation. Many buildings, cars and houses were destroyed, telephone polls were down blocking roads making it hard for people to get where they needed to get too. The house that we lived in were flooded causes most of our things to be wet. Power was out for months for many places on island. I flew back to Rota because I knew I wouldn't be going to school for months, and I wanted to be close to my parents.
Continuing my 30 day challenge was hard for me, having to take care of my grandpa, making sure hes okay knowing what we just went through. I tried my best to get back to what I was doing before all of this happen. It was hard I stressed too much thinking about a lot of things and I couldn't think about working on something that I knew wasn't that important than my family. This is it for my 30 day challenge, I didn't reach what I plan to reach but its something.
