Community Issue Speech (alongside Dindo)
If there are more opportunities given to the youth, to create through music and art classes. They could find their own outlet to be self-expressive and less likely would they be influenced to do drugs. This is our presentation on our community issue, which revolves around the promise that our youth can become so much better just by being addicted to the right thing.
My Evaluation of my Intro.
I created this in the span of about 3 days, I recorded myself in my pajamas and I did what I could to describe who I really am as a person. This video allowed me to open up more to talk in front of a camera and share my ideas and thoughts. I am actually more inspired to create more of these in the future. I've been able to type down my thoughts before but saying them out loud allows the listener to hear what I feel in my tone, voice and attitude. To be able to present who I truly am after 18 years is something I take to the heart because I did what I could to reminisce and think about what I've done and what I've been able to do, so far. Maybe I could've added more video to the things I was saying for proof, but I believe that this will do.
Goals for the Class.
I would want to be able to get my ideas across. I want to be able to say what I feel in my heart with a passion and know that I am able to achieve anything. I believe that I will open up more to be confident and I will most definitely learn more in this class.
Favorite Class Speech
I worked alongside Kenny, Gene and Jose on this one. It allowed me to go back to my roots to do something great for a performance. We got to act, have fun and prepare for this. The process felt so good as the outcome became what it is now.
Beginning of the Class Goals and How it Led Me to Now
At the beginning of the class, I wanted to become a better speaker and performer. I was able to get insight on the things that I was able to seek and learn throughout this class. Things that helped me improve was tongue twisters as well as impromptu speeches. I grew better as I learned to grow with my teacher and peers in class. I can say that I have still have so much more potential to become the best speaker and performer I can be. There is still so much to learn for me.
