Hi!
My Intro Evaluation
I'm very confident when it comes to pretending like I'm talking to someone. My hand gestures, facial expressions, and varied voice is excellent. However, I can hear some parts of my voice quiver. Sometimes, I stumble and it seems like I'm unsure of what I'm talking about. One of my biggest problems is talking too fast, which makes my speech incomprehensible. It's been an issue since my elementary school years and it continued to follow me because that's pretty much how I talk in real life.
Goals
Public speaking is something that scares the majority of the population. I want to be that small but special group that can go out there and present with confidence. I want to write speeches that reach out to people of different age groups, like something that sounds entertaining but makes solid points. That would be the ideal target.
My Favorite Speech
I would have to say my favorite speech was the demonstration speech. I got to talk about something I was passionate about. My classmates and I were able to teach each other whatever we wanted. It was fun from the beginning to end. I enjoyed editing the video and thinking of what mind blowing transitions to use. I got the exact reactions I was expecting to get throughout my speech. It felt like I was actually doing a good job. And in the end, we all learned something new about each other.
Did I ever achieve the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the semester?
I did. I now speak more confidently knowing that my peers and I can relate to each other in terms of being afraid when it comes to public speaking. I know how to plan for a speech and what I should do with it to make an effective speech. Confident enunciation, solid points, careful planning, and POWER POSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
