My Evaluation of my Intro.
I feel I did a pretty good job besides my little errors here and there. Some of the things I should work on would be keeping the camera still, practicing my speech more to avoid rambling, and being more enthusiastic. I used my phone to record this, and because I was constantly restarting my hand started getting tired of holding my phone up, hence why in the video I was moving so much. I noticed as well that towards the end I started rambling a lot because I forgot some of things I was going to say. I was even a bit bland, and I feel if I was more enthusiastic the video would've been much better. |
Feel free to leave comments or suggestions on my introduction speech, Thanks!

HOW TO MAKE COOKIE CRINKLES
A fun and easy to make dessert to share with your whole family and/or friends!

The Legend of Sirena
The legend of Sirena is a Chamorro folklore that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is used to teach young children that disobeying their parents can have consequences. It is also used to teach everyone to be careful of what they say, because their words can come true.
Favorite speech
My favorite speech throughout the whole course would have to be the second impromptu speech we had. My topic was on "how to teach an old dog a new trick". We were given 15 minutes to prepare for our 1 minute speech, and I got to learn a lot about my topic. Being a mom dog myself, I found the information to be really useful. |
Reflection on goals
With all the speech assignments I've had to do in this class, I can proudly say they've helped me deal with my nervousness a little bit better now. I also learned that continuously practicing your speech, and getting feedback from others can help improve your speech, and helps with stuttering. However I still need to learn to build a little more confidence when giving my speeches and learning to use hand gestures. Overall I've achieved most of my goals. |
