Reflection
A self- introduction video? Wow! That sounds fun! Before beginning this assignment, my first instinct was that I would nail this at one shot, but in reality, I struggled to talk about myself. It may seem easy, but the process of creating a self-introduction video could be a bit challenging.
In my video, I mentioned the basic information to know about me, my age, birthday, and what I am majoring in. I explained why I am majoring in elementary education. I want to support, motivate, and inspire students. Also, in my video I stressed about my hobbies. I stressed about when I began dancing and how I decided to go into cheerleading in high school. I also mentioned about my interest in doing photoshoots. I went ahead and included some pictures of a few shots I have taken. To end the video off, I went ahead and explain what my goal is for this course (CO210). My goal for this course is to boost up my confidence when I deliver speeches or class presentations. In addition, I considered my habit of saying “Ummm” as something I want to try to practice and avoid, during my presentations.
Altogether, I think this video assignment was fun. I had the chance to talk about myself and let my audience know who I am as a person. The process of creating my self-introduction video was all done using my cellular device. In the beginning, I had no clue how I would edit my video. Later, I resorted to downloading a video editor app, Filmmaker Pro, to enhance my video and put in some effects, background music, and text. I hope that many of my peers enjoyed getting to know who I am and possibly someday, we can meet and be friends.

MY FAVORITE SPEECH
My favorite speech would have to be the demonstration speech. I enjoyed the demonstration speech because I had the opportunity to show-off one of my favorite hobbies, cheer leading or what I call it, stunting. It was an iffy process for me because I had to ask the Marianas High School cheerleaders, which I was a part of during my high school years, to support me and join demonstrate a stunt. I decided to do one of my favorite cheer stunts, a basket toe-touch. During my speech, I was allowed to demonstrate the role of each cheerleader. We had the main base, secondary base, a front spot, a back spot, and a flyer. Although the rain decided to join along my speech, the cheerleaders and I executed the stunt safely!

GOALS GOALS GOALS !!!
----------------------------------------------- Let's talk GOALS I have set goals for myself throughout my speech class. One goal I've achieved was planning an attention getter. When I say my speeches, I always project with a loud voice and my introduction would always be full of energy. When I process my introduction, I come across a few creative ways to catch my audience's' attention. Projecting my voice definitely improved my presentation/speech skills. Another goal that I've achieved was having the ability to develop an impromptu speech with an introduction, body, and conclusion. Impromptu speeches are pretty exciting. Like always, I like contribute my creativity in my work. |
How do you continue to achieve those goals?
Although, I may have the potential to create an attention getter and formulate an impromptu speech in a minute, I continue to improve these skills by practicing and applying these techniques in my other classes when I organize presentations about a lesson or topic. Altogether, I would achieve these goals by following a process, Research + Create + Study = Confident and Prepared It is normal to feel nervous doing speech, but developing a speech early, keeping my work organized, and studying the information well would help with the confidence I have when I deliver my speech. |
