"Class & Goals Reflection"
In regards of the class, I approached it rather useful as well as unique in its own right of how it was taught. Frankly speaking, I was able to easily leave the feeling of absolute nervousness to convey my ideas as well as words clearly towards my audience. The lessons, activities, and assignments have broadened my understanding and have taught me the tips, techniques, and procedures on how to formulate and deliver a speech. Also, I've become a bit more comfortable on inviting the new methods of teaching, rather than more general form of itself to allow me to become more exposed to something new and disciplined in thinking critically. As for my goals, in all honesty, I was able to achieve most of them. In addition, I was able to improve my overall speaking by projecting my voice through repetition. To me, everything in this class was not limited to speech alone, yet to develop the confidence to express one's individual ideas easily as well as being open to positive criticism on improving a person's speech craft. I would recommend to other students to enroll in this course because it will definitely assist them in their future professions.
"Favorite Speech & Why"
This Is My Belief Speech:
Why did I choose "This Is My Belief Speech" as my favorite speech? The reason why I chose this as my favorite speech is due to the fact that I was able to share my experiences as to how I developed the self-mental discipline to both challenge as well as overcome the difficulties and obstacles in my life. Also, this particular speech gave the opportunity to emphasize that despite there being people who have perceived you negatively, and forced you into a terrible disposition due to the situations/events that you faced and or continue to undergo, there is always a way to create a means of improving both your perception and approach towards everything in the world around you. In conclusion, to me, this speech held great value as well as interesting to view, especially while having everyone share their own beliefs and how they were acted upon until this point in life. |
Goals for the course:
- Expand on my vocabulary usage.
- Maintain eye contact.
- Practice both facial and physical expressions.
- Adjust to projecting voice.

Evaluation of My Introduction Video:
Unfortunately, to be honest, I do not have an Introduction Video for the course. However, I will still mention my reason for not attempting to submit this video. Frankly speaking, the reason as to why I did not submit this video is simply because for me personally, I did not find the introduction as a whole to be natural nor did I have any actual face-to-face interactions with my fellow classmates and instructor to convey my message across. In all honesty, I do sincerely apologize for being unable to make as well as submit the introduction video, yet to me, the idea of an introduction would've held more of both value and a so called "top of the head" credibility in person.
