Reflection:
Although it took me countless takes, I reviewed the final take of my self-introduction speech and I noticed that I did pretty well. I like to think that I'm an open book so I'm pretty comfortable speaking with others; however, I still get nervous when I know I have to speak in front of a big audience. Lastly, I noticed that I avert my eyes. |

Goals:
My personal goal for this class it to improve my skills in public speaking and break down the walls of allowing myself to get way too nervous when it's time to present in public. I would also like to learn how to lessen my anxiety attacks because I tend to overthink things and as a result, forget what I'm presenting about, allowing myself to do poorly on presentations. |

My Favorite SpeechMy favorite speech would be my Demonstration Speech titled "Gulaman". The reason this is my favorite speech is because I enjoyed preparing this Filipino refreshment for Dr. Anderson and my classmates, of course. My favorite part of my speech was passing out little mason jars filled with gulaman to every single individual in the class. I'm glad I had the opportunity to share a simple yet delicious drink that anyone can make at home. Aside from the monologue I recently presented in class, I felt like I've accomplished overcoming the fear of presenting in front of a crowd.

Overall Class ReflectionI grew up with strict parents so when it came to speaking to others or in public, I often feel tensed. But considering the fact that I'm an introvert, I have seen myself grow as a person and a student in terms of speaking publicly. I feel like I can say that I have overcame my fear of public speaking with confidence. Through this class, I have learned to put my nervousness aside and found ways to lessen my anxiety attacks. I learned that if I allow myself to feel nervous, I'll just end up messing up during my speech. Hence, days before a speech, I try to practice and practice what I will be presenting until I feel confident.
