Progress:
Day 1: I started with the basics which is learning the pronunciation and tones.
Day 2: I started on the vocab for this weeks theme. I wrote them down and did some notes.
Day 3: I practiced my reading and writing. The characters were easy to write.
Day 4: I did a few sentences to get a feel on how to structure them.
Day 5: Practiced characters again and speaking.
Day 6: More sentences and writing. I wrote a lot and I even put the pinyin so that it could help me pronounce the words.
Day 7: Speaking and reading. I am able to understand what the set of characters for this week mean when put into a sentence.

Day 9: I started with sentences this time and did some speaking. Day 10: I did speaking and reading. Day 11: I practiced characters and the pronunciation as I wrote them. I find that repeating the word when you write the character helps to learn it better. Day 12: I tried reading the sentences and characters without the pinyin. Day 13: Wrote some sentences and characters. Did some reading, too. Day 14: I tried to speak without the help of pinyin. I got some pronunciations wrong. |
Day 15: This week I am combining two themes since they are related with each other. First part is Food. Started vocabulary. Practiced reading and speaking.
Day 16: Practiced writing some characters. The set for this week is pretty hard. Especially the character for vegetables. Day 17: I didn't get to do my practice for today. Day 18: I did some writing and reading. Day 19: I tried to write sentences without the English and then translated it to English. I checked if I was right and it was. Day 20: I did more reading and speaking. Day 21: I practiced writing characters. |
Day 22: Second part deals with restaurants, money, and numbers. I only wrote down the vocabulary. There was a lot. Some of the characters were difficult to write and I made some mistakes.
Day 23: Practiced reading. Day 24:Didn't do today. The rest of the days are spread out so they weren't done day after day. Day 25: Practiced speaking. Did some characters. Day 26: More characters. Day 27: Reading. Day 28: More reading and speaking. |
