What I want to accomplish at the end of the semester
While watching myself talk in this video it felt awkward to actually see how I look when i'm presenting in front of others. After watching the video I felt like i was constantly using the word "um" and losing eye contact as well as spacing between words. By the End of this semester I hope to have gotten over my fear of public speaking and focused on the subject while talking in a way the conforms to the subject.
What I have accomplished at the end of the semester
I honestly saw a lot of improvement in the way I present I have reduced how many times I've said um in my presentations. I really enjoyed the oppurtunity to learn all these public speaking skills in this course
How to Make the World a Better Place (Outline)
How to make the world a better place
Everyone strives for greatness in today’s world yet we don’t acknowledge the fact that without the earth there’s no life. If we come together to improve the world our lives and lives of future generations will improve. Personally, I am very concerned about the environment. By the year 2020, the earth has to be operating at zero carbon emmisions meaning zero fossil fuel combustion for energy, zero biomass combustion for energy, zero biofuels combustion for energy as well as zero deforestation. I’m not suggesting that you should sell your property or donate money to charity or go to Alaska and save the polar bears. No! I’m not asking you to do that. You can easily help make the world a better place with even the tiniest steps.
3. Use a bicycle
-It benefits both our health and the environment. By riding bikes we can reduce co2 emissions in the atmosphere and In addition using bikes can save you from getting stuck in traffic.
4. Save electricity
- Using energy efficient light bulbs and turning off appliances when you are not using them can help. It saves both you and the environment.
5. Save Water
- Make sure to turn off the faucet when you are done using it and also make sure to close it tight. You’ll waste a few hundred gallons of water per hour that’s a lot considering the 71 percent of the earth is covered in water.
6.Plant a tree
Trees are like the lungs of the world , they provide us with oxygen and by planting a tree we are helping the air become cleaner.
Every little thing you do affects the environment so why not try and make the world better.

Demonstrative Speech
This was my favorite speech because it was like a tutorial speech and I loved how we had to bring props into class for the speech.

- If you have chosen a specific theme make sure to notify your guests about the theme, now if you decide to have invitations make sure the invitations fit with the theme.
- Plan the Menu
- Write a list of the dishes that you want served at your party.
- Make a list of what you can make at home and what you need to order.
- If you choose to have a party catered place your orders in advance so there will be no last minute changes.
- Prepare for the Party
- Consider asking a friend or hiring someone to help you pre and post-party cleaning.
- Cook the dishes for the party at least five hours in advance
- Decorate the venue to match the theme, if you have one
- Set up cleaning stations where people can throw their trash and what not.
- Set up tables and chairs in a manner that is suitable for you.
- Greet the guests as they arrive
- Things should be organized so you’re free to mingle and not tied up in the kitchen.
