After watching my self-introduction video, I noticed a few things I did well and a few things I need to improve on. First of all, I was expressive in certain parts while giving my introduction. I was able to focus on the speech and avoid words such as "uh". However, I did notice that I didn't really use a lot of hand gestures. I should also relax a bit more and smile often. I also should be more confident with my voice so that I avoid eating my words and be able to enunciate my words well. Another thing I need to improve on would be maintaining eye contact. Though my audience was the camera, I should imagine it as people and focus all my attention to whoever I am speaking to.

𝓕𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓮 𝓢𝓹𝓮𝓮𝓬𝓱 My favorite speech for this course would be my Community Issues Speech. I feel like I really challenged myself with this speech, and I also experimented with a bit of drama and humor. Thankfully, the audience found my jokes funny and reacted well to my dramatics. We also had to present this speech in front of out VIP guests who were well-informed about the topic. This speech really tested my confidence and ability to stay calm if ever I forget what to say in my speech. I was very pleased with the results of this speech, and that is why the Community Issues Speech is my favorite speech from this class.

At the end of the semester, I believe that I reached many of my goals. Regarding my first goal, I believe that I have been able to confidently express my thoughts. The This I Believe speech was a great opportunity for my to share my personal thoughts, and I was able to confidently express that to my audience. I think that I also have made progress with my second goal. I haven't transformed into a social butterfly, but I have been able to approach some people and make conversation with them. For my third goal, I don't see public-speaking negatively anymore. Especially for my major which is education, it is important that I am comfortable with speaking in front of people because that is what I will do for my whole career. And regarding my last goal, I have been able to improve my volume throughout the entire semester. I practiced constantly with speaking loudly, and I feel like my volume has improved.
This speech class has really helped me and my public speaking skills. It is important that we have this class, and I'm very grateful that this class can help me when I enter the workforce in the future. This class will help me greatly when I need to give teach-backs for my future education classes and my practicums. This is crucial because I will be speaking in front of teachers and students for the rest of my life.
