Reflection:
Making this video was kind of difficult for me. I'd stutter all the time during the recording and then I had to keep restarting over and over again. Later, I ended up practicing the things I wanted to say and got it over with; even though I practiced, I still stutter though it all. When I was done with my video, I accidentally deleted it and had to restart. So the video that I had submitted had less effort in it, but at least I have something to show you. In my experience throughout this assignment, it was hard and frustrating, but in the end it was okay and I enjoyed it. Goals: My goal to improve my speech skills in class is to practice more on what to say. Many people would say to practice in front of a mirror or in front of your friends or your family. That may work for you but I'm too sure with myself. Also I learned my lesson, make sure to have multiple copies of my work so that I would have to redo anything. |

M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies:
In this video presentation, you will learn how to make an original M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. This recipe was originally from an online site, but I changed it up and made it my own. It’s important to have a little time to yourself, so why not bake to satisfy yourself and your carvings all at the same time? In this demonstration project, you’ll have your way. |
Reflection
Throughout the semester, I've learned so much. I've learned how to comfortably speak in front of a crowd. I've learned many ways to give a speech to a group of people. The impromptu speeches that we have done throughout the semester has helped me prepare a speech right on the spot. It was hard in the beginning, but as you go further into topic, it gets easier. I've learned to present a speech and make it seem as an one on one conversation with my audience.
I've improved my speaking skills: tone of voice, volume, speak with a natural flow. Also, I've learned to have multiple copies of my work so that I would not go through so much hassle like I did in the beginning. Because of the many skills that I have learned throughout the semester, I plan on using them in the near future.
Overall, we did a number of 6 speeches in class and out of the 6, The demonstrative speech was my favorite speech given. Why? It is because I love baking; most especially coming up with new recipes. This was the moment that I can share with other people what I love to do on my free time. Presenting something that I know and have a strong passion about was easy and enjoyable for me. I got to share something incredible and creative with my instructor and peers. To top it off, everyone got a chance to taste a little sample of sweet sensation from my kitchen. Try it out and let me know what you think.
This was one heck of a roller coaster ride but I survived.
