Home-made Clam Chowder Soup
Ingredients
that you probably have in your kitchen already!

Preparation
1. Heat a large pot and add a medium amount of water, chicken broth, diced potatoes, and chopped clams with its juice. Let it simmer for about 5-6 minutes. 2. Put cooking oil in a second pot, add your vegetables such as chopped celery & chopped tomatoes, and anything else you'd like to include. Stir up these ingredients until it's soft and golden brown. 3. Add flour to the first pot and stir it in the mixture for about 30 seconds. Then add in 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of whipping cream. Whisk the soup thoroughly to break up any clumps of flour. 4. Then add the cooked ingredients from the second pot to the large pot. Season with salt & black pepper or any other seasoning you'd like to use. Add pieces of dried thyme to enhance the flavor. Stir everything thoroughly and let it cook for 5 more minutes. 5. Prepare in a bowl and enjoy! Add pieces of chopped bacon (optional) or any other garnish you would like to include. |
