WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPEECH?
My favorite speech throughout the semester was my demonstration speech. The demonstration speech uses both multisensory and kinesthetic learning. Giving a demonstration speech with a topic of your own choice makes me feel less anxious because you can teach your classmates something you are familiar with. I made a "How to make a spiral friendship bracelet" demonstration speech. I felt quite comfortable explaining my classmates how to do this. I did not put a lot of words on my power point, but step by step pictures. I also physically brought the materials to show them how to do it. I had a volunteer come up try to do what I showed them. I think adding multisensory and kinesthetic learning will help students participate and grab their attention longer. This was my favorite speech throughout the semester and would love to do this kind of speech again!
