C L A S S & G O A L S R E F L E C T I O N
Through this class, I have learned to put my nervousness aside and just let myself speak. We were given a variety of speech assignments that helped develop my public speaking skills. I now know how to plan, organize, and deliver a speech effectively. In terms of my goals, I think that I have achieved most of them. There is definitely some progress compared to day one. I don't feel as shy or nervous compared to the first week of class. I am now more comfortable in terms of speaking to a bigger audience. I incorporate more gestures when I talk, maintain eye contact with the audience, and I try to pace myself to avoid talking too fast. However, I feel that I still need to work on my enunciation, but I know that with more practice (practice, practice, practice!) this could improve overtime. Overall, this course has challenged me on my public speaking abilities, and I am glad that I took this class. Not only did I gain new skills and knowledge, but it also helped me get out of my comfort zone. :)

Demonstration Speech:
My favorite speech in the class would have to be the demonstration speech on how to make fruit cocktail graham cake. I felt relaxed and confident in this speech. I did not really have to think of what to say next since the process flowed naturally. My classmates and I were able to teach each other on whatever topic we wanted. I enjoyed preparing and sharing the dessert with the class. Plus, all the presentations were interesting! Not only did we learn from one another, but we also got to taste different dishes for most of the presentations which I enjoyed. |

My Evaluation/Reflection of my Introduction:
Filming this video introduction was surprisingly fun even though I had to do a lot of retakes. It brought me out of my comfort zone. There are still aspects that I need to work on; I noticed that I kept on swaying and making unnecessary hand movements. I also need to speak clearly and improve my intonation.
