30 DAY CHALLENGE RESULTS
For my 30 day challenge, my plan was to lose weight by controlling my food intake. Since healthy foods are expensive to get, I will be eating whatever is available. Every now and then, I will try and include healthy foods to offset the unhealthy food I have ate. From the start of challenge, I immediately snapped into my groove. I was able to overcome the urge to eat! At times, I ate under the amount of calories I needed per day. There were also days where I over ate but didn't feel bad because I knew it wasn't an everyday thing! I was doing well with my challenge until Supertyphoon Yutu struck the island on October 24. With that happening, I was able to still get results!
Calories
In order to lose weight, I used an app on my phone called MyFitnessPal. It allows me to track my calories! I had to input details about my height, gender, weight, how much work I do in a day, and then it gave me an amount of calories I had to reach In order to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. So my total calories I had to stay under was 1690 calories but slowly adjusted to 1500 calories to lose a little more weight. As pictures show above, you can see the calories I have tracked in the month of October. On some days, I went over by a few hundred calories or more than 500 calories. It's fine to go over on some days but as long as you balance it out the next day. With that being said, during the 3rd week in my challenge I lost about 5 to 6 pounds!
Food
Not only did I track my calories, I took pictures of the food I ate! As shown above, you can see the types of foods I ate. With the amount of food I ate, I was still able to keep my energy levels up and I was able to manage throughout the day. Along with the food I ate, I also drank lots of water. With that, I was losing weight and my skin became clearer! As you can see above, you can all the types of food I ate for this challenge. I ate food that I eat regularly but portioned. You can lose weight by eating whatever you eat but do it in moderation.
