Evaluation & GoalsThis isn't my first time being in front of a camera, but I was still so nervous to talk and I tried my best not to get awkward. I tend to say the words "like" and "uhm" when I talk or present something which is something I really want to work on. In my video I tried my best not to use those two words, even though it did slip out, I feel as if I did a good job. I hope that by the end of taking this course I will gain the confidence that I need when speaking in front of people.

Reflection on Goals Achieved |
Goals to Continue Working On |
Throughout the semester I was able to see some progress with the goals I set for myself. Occasionally I would either blank out during my speech and almost say "uhm" or I would let my nerves take over me. But later towards the end of this semester, I was able to achieve my goal and I became more confident when speaking in front of an audience as well as control myself when I feel myself about to say "uhm" or "like.

I feel like a goal I would like to continue on is trying not to say "uhm" or "like" especially when I'm nervous. I still get very nervous when I'm about to present in front of the whole class which leads to me saying "uhm" or "like" a lot. So this is something I would like to continue working on.

Favorite Speech
My favorite speech for this course was the Demonstration Speech. Everyone was able to choose a topic that they would like to share with the class. I chose a topic that I am very passionate about which is dancing. I decided to share that and teach a well-known move called the "broken clock woah". This was my favorite speech because I was able to connect with the class. I attached a video of some people who volunteered to try it out with me!

Community Issues Speech
For my Community Issues Speech I talked about the ways to prevent obesity as well as the negative effects of it. I am partnered with my fellow classmate Mark Tyler Flores. If you'd like some visuals we created a powerpoint presentation on the side of this video.

Community Speech Survey
We made this survey to see if the community is aware about obesity and their opinions on how we can promote awareness in the CNMI.
