My Evaluation/Reflection on my Introduction Speech
This is my first time videoing myself. I made so much attempts to making the perfect one and was so nervous to speak in front of the camera. Although, this was a great experience for me because now that I have that feel to it and is out of my comfort zone, I should do better next time. The struggle I faced videoing myself was not knowing what to say. So to solve this problem, I listed bullet points in a sheet of paper and glanced at the paper when I was clueless of what to say. I am actually surprised that I wasn't shaking or constantly studdering in my video. By the end of this semester, I expect myself to be better at speaking, having good tone, hand gestures, and posture.
Please make comments or suggestions on my introduction speech Thanks!
Favorite Speech
My favorite speech throughout this semester is my introduction video which is located above this text. This is my favorite speech because I was not good at speaking and I did not have many speaking skills during this time. Now I have improved. Another reason why this is my favorite video is because I saw the improvements from my introduction video compared to how I speak now. My first video took about an hour to prepare myself to speak in front of the camera. Now that the semester is coming to an end, I am confident and prepared to speak. I also have developed a few skills throughout this semester and I am proud of myself that I am out of my comfort zone. Which one's did you improve on? which will you continue to work on and how? I improved on all my skills that I mentioned in the beginning of the semester. I will continue to work on my posture and hand gestures because I didn't really work on those skills but I improved. I do make hand gestures and have a good posture while speaking but not all my speeches that I gave. I will continue to practice this outside of class with my other classes. Like when I present in other classes or when having a conversation with someone. Explain course final exam preparation 1. I would go to the tutor and have them edit it and read out my speech to them. 2. I would print my speech outline and speech that was edited by the tutor 3. I would practice reading out my speech 4. Prepare myself to make hand gestures, high volume tone, and posture. 5. When I am ready to film myself, I would make a few attempts before my final video. |
