! INTRODUCTION VIDEO !
Self Evaluation
I believe that I did good considering how awkward it was filming yourself, when only you yourself can hear. However, I think the emotion is portrayed in the video, there is enthusiasm here and there, and I was KINDA extra in the beginning. I do think though, that there is a lot of room for improvement. I could work more towards my intonation, as well as my volume. Even though there were factors that affected my volume such as the air conditioner, I should have been louder than the air conditioner. I feel like my tone could be improved also.
Goals for CO210My goals for this class is to become a confident speaker, and I do hope that I do become one as we practice towards our upcoming speeches. I also hope that I improve on my volume, my intonation, tone, and many more that deals with speech itself. I feel like everyone is scared going up and speaking in front of their peers. My goal would be to see a big improvement, better than what I did the first few times speaking out in CO210.

FAVORITE SPEECH - MONOLOGUE SPEECH
MALEFICENT CURSE SCENE
The monologue speech was by far my best, most favorite speech for the whole semester. I love theater and acting, however in my opinion, was never really good at it. Some of my friends took drama during highschool, and I would usually watch their plays whenever there is one coming up. I love musicals as well, because music and acting ties into feelings and that's what I love about. I chose to do Maleficent because I love the story behind how she became the notorious 'evil' character. Overall, just doing what I really love towards my interests (the movie Maleficent), really urged me to become the evil queen herself! Though, my video showcased my 'bird' (pikachu) falling down from my staff, I loved to just laugh at myself. My purpose was to entertain, and I truly entertained myself, I hope you were as well! This was my favorite because I got to be someone else who I really loved to be, and that was Maleficent!
END OF SEMESTER REFLECTION
Have you achieved your goals for this class semester?I would say that I've seen a big improvement from the very first day of class to now. I've become more confident when it comes to speaking to a group. It was much better compared to how it was in the first day of class. I am usually shy when it comes to talking to new people, or in this case talking to a whole class with students I don't really know. However, after the 15 weeks I've been with my peers and instructor, they have helped me to improve and become more confident with myself and just speak out loud. With intonation, pronunciation, and volume, I see a big change now. I know that I did well, overall, but I feel like I can improve more in the future.

How do you plan to continue developing your speech skills in the future?Because I am an education major, you do a whole lot of speaking, gesturing, and mostly impromptus in every education class. I will use my peers and instructor's feedbacks with me towards my teachings in an educational environment. As students in SOE, we usually do a lot of teachbacks, I will use that to practice and better improve myself in my speaking, confidence, tone, volume, and many more!
Not only towards my education classes, I can further improve myself just interacting within my community. Just by interaction, I can totally use that as a way to see what I can improve on when I talk or communicate with my friends/family. |
