What was my favortie speech of the semester?
I would say that my favorite speech would be "I have a dream" by the Martin Luther King Jr Speech. Mr. King has the heart of many. He has the heart to give so much towards others, whether you are rich nor poor, you are something to him. With his speech, it taught me to respect others even if our lifetime stories are different. He did not only taught me that my "color" does not indicate a friendship I can create, but tranquility within my community. An example he sets all of us to do is never easy, but he had a dream and I know we had that too. Here is more in the video!

Did I reach my goal? | What should I improve on?
Community Speech Issue:
One goal that I would like to improve on is how I present myself to my audience without any stuttering or doubt of how I speak. There would be times where I feel as if I talk about one certain topic way too long. I need to learn how to shorten my details and get on with the point. However, there will be some practices that I need to partake and I will surely make it happen. For example, reading more information and exploring my learning around to open more about my options of what I can speak about. I mean, who wants to hear the same ideas in different forms for too long, you basically made a point of one idea. It is best to expand more theories as your audience explores what you have discovered for them. Every single idea is interesting, it is how we always say it. So, my goal is to improve on being confident at my own skin and simply talk.
However, practices definitely makes perfect. I would say that I am confident to speak in terms of my presentation by practicing with my family members and friends.

My Favorite Speech Presentation:
I would say that my favorite speech would be the demonstration speech. With the demonstration speech, I did a “How to make a Avocado Milkshake”, and with this speech, not only did I taught my classmates how to make a milkshake but it was definitely worth of practicing right in front of the audience. It taught me to be still and be comfortable at my own skin. Sharing the idea of making my avocado milkshake is part of my cultural experience. With this presentation, I learned to want to do so much more of it. I want to share my experience with others whom are having a hard time in regards to presenting a topic in front of their audience. The best part about this whole presentation is when three of our classmates commented and rated how well we did, with this test coming in mind, we can intentionally focus on the lacking and renew to becoming better speakers. This demonstration speech did not only bring out the best of my confidence. It brought out my purpose of how much I love doing public speaking.

My Community Speech Video: Domestic Violence in the CNMI
|
While filming my Community Speech, I have learned how much I love Public Speaking. Also, with the topic that I've chosen, public speaking is an essential that everyone should practice on. It does not have to be crafted in one single form of video like mine, but it can be through dancing, singing, painting, anything that keeps your dreams on fire. My community speech is based upon on Domestic Violence in the CNMI. I really hope you enjoyed my video, because it is a topic that is not too open in the community and so spread the word with a tagline of ---
#dvisanono #domesticviolencemustcometoanend #domesticviolencemustweprevent THANK YOU SO MUCH. God bless and see you guys next time! |
