Reflection
Hi everyone my name is Joseph Kimo Pangelinan Mafnas and the video above is my self-introduction video I made for my Speech class. Even though it was just my friends and I doing our videos together, I still felt kind of nervous and as you saw halfway through the video I had ran out of stuff to talk about. In my video I mentioned my long term and short term goals, my hobbies, and just other things about me. Starting off with my short term goals being: graduating college and passing all my classes with good attendance, and my long term goal: working at the airport as a Customs agent and that is why I chose Criminal Justice as my major. Some other long term goals I have that I didn't mention in the video would be like to have a family of my own or being able to look back at my life and not having any regrets. I've never been really great at public speaking or speaking in front of large groups of people, so I was hoping that this speech class could help me change that. I felt like doing this video introduction was a big help mainly because it helped me to actually watch myself speak and like notice what i did and did not do wrong. I would like to improve my posture a bit more and try to stray from constantly touching my face during presentations or not being able to keep still. I would like to also improve by making my voice clearer and speaking up louder, usually during like class presentations my voice would get shaky and it would do nothing but make me even more nervous.
So yeah this was my self-introduction video, how i felt about it and what aspects of my speech that I would like to further excel or improve on. Thank you for watching my video and don't forget to fill out the survey and feel free to leave any suggestions on what I could do differently next time :)

My Favorite Speech
My favorite speech in this class is probably the demonstrative speech. It was fun teaching my other classmates how to start a bushcutter with a visual presentation(video). I recorded a 3 minute long tutorial on how to start a bushcutter, what you would need to start a bushcutter, and just some handy advice for bushcutting. Even though the video was only 3 minutes, it took me so many takes just to get it right because either it was me that would end up laughing or my girlfriend because she was the one recording me. I am pretty sure i started my bushcutter about 5 times because I had to keep re-recording. I was suppose to play my video and then later ask questions but, there was some technical difficulties and the audio would not work so I had to improvise. I constantly paused my video and explained what I was saying and doing in the video. I felt as though my topic was one of the topics that many people would not really need to learn but it could come in handy simply just being familiar with it. A lot of people in the audience were smiling and laughing and that was the reason why i chose starting a bushcutter as my demonstration, I knew that many people would find it humorous and I had a feeling no one else would have got the same idea as I did. It was also really funny watching other people's demonstrative speeches and gaining new knowledge to things I would have never considered learning. Some people did food based tutorials such as baking and even cooking soba(sapporo ichiban), others did things as simple as how to properly wash your hair and some basic workouts you can do in your free time.
