Jaydene E. - Introduction Speech |
|
Looking back at myself, I can see that I still have much to learn. First of all, I have an inclination to look towards my right to try and remember what I was supposed to say. Second, my bangs tend to fall over my eyes, and they block my expression. Last of all, I tend to get over excited and speak in a faster than normal speed. However, I do have good eye contact with the camera, I speak in a loud voice, and I look very relaxed. My goals for this class is to maintain a good speech tempo, create powerful speeches, and deliver them in a way that it touches peoples' hearts.
Jaydene E. - My Reflection
I feel like I've been much more confidant in myself. I've been really proud of myself throughout this school year. My initial concerns of my bangs and looking to my right still ring true. However, I hide my nervousness about them better. It's great that I can do that! I like how instead of being really nervous, I went out and presented what I had to do. My tone and tempo have gotten better, I've noticed! Instead of going faster and faster, I can calm down and take pauses. I can breathe through my nervousness, and do what I need to. My goals for this class were to maintain a good speech tempo, create powerful speeches, and deliver them in a way that it touches peoples' hearts. I'm proud to say that I've been able to do the first one, but creating powerful speeches and delivering them in a way that touches people's hearts is still something that I need to work towards.
Jaydene E. - My Favorite Speech (My Monologue)
My monologue is my favorite speech! My main reason is because The Great Debaters is one of the greatest movies that I've watched. This monologue is a powerful piece that helped me bring out my emotions. I was partnered with Ahlex; which is great, too. It was fun because we got to work off of each other, and if we goofed the speech up we were able to help each other continue.
